Loss of income from a second reliable profession's income (pets, scopes and the misc crap people want are rarely adequate compared to lets see, herbalism, mining, skinning, JC, enchanting, and scribe.)īackfires (I knew this going in that sometimes they just don't work after all goblins and gnomes are in charge of the schematics so what do you expect.). Loss of gold maxing engineering (because you can't even resell much of the stuff you make to get a few levels) Most engineers know going in that there are some things associated with the profession: I was completely on board with the shot into the air before, that failure makes sense. In fact I've had numerous times where I was going to escape with it from someone ganking or just in a BG, only to find that I've ensured my death.

It seems now that about 1/10 of my uses (which I do use probably 5-10 times an hour) results in getting the nasty Rocket Fuel Leak. Before cataclysm the failure rate was probably sitting around 1-3% of the time. The failure rate now has to be in the area of 50/50 and that is just unacceptable.Ĭomment by cyocko87The odds to fail for the Nitro boost seems to have been drastically increased. However, it only occured about 5% of the time. Additionally, the melt down of the boost far exceeds the failure of the boost to throw me in the air as it did long ago. I need to eat and heal at the door before using it. With that scenario, 80% health nerf doesn't do #$%^. Half the time I use it, it's coming off a wipe and I'm boosting once I enter the instance. Sorta like having the mailbox door shut on your arm and rip it the hell off. I'm sure the friggin mailbox would explode as well when you went to check your mail.

Better yet.The Moll-E gives you bank access instead of mailbox access. What's next? Will Jeeves suddenly draw a machine gun and mow down the entire raid while they try to repair? How about a grease fire when we toss out a BBQ for the party.

It's still garbage and you've taken a once very useful profession and trivialized it with the possibilities of failure. Edit- It has been over a week since my initial post and I have still not been thrown into the air once as long as I stand still when activating nitro boosts.Ĭomment by 204079Nice try on the nerf Blizz. Hopefully this helps some who were as frustrated as I was at the constant malfunctions. Hopefully Blizzard will fix this soon so that we can activate the boosts while moving anywhere again. It does take some extra time but the speed boost you get (and the fact you arent waiting to slowly fall down, or killing yourself) makes up for the second it takes to activate. I have yet to be launched when activating my nitro boosts from a standstill and then running forward. Workaround: Stand still when activating Nitro Boosts My personal hypothesis is that it is caused by some sort of terrain glitch where if your character on uneven terrain and you are moving when you activate your boosts you will be launched upwards instead of forwards.
What is turbo boost on dc Patch#
YOU LISTENING BLIZZARD?Īs of patch 3.2, evidently they were listening :) This is more like it.Ĭomment by 762182I have had my Nitro Boosts malfunction with regularity since Cataclysm came out. Selling ammo is okay if you've got mining as well, but is hardly gonna allow for early retirement. While I'm on one, the two belt tinkers should be merged, the army knife should include the zapthrottle mote extractor and Blizz should give us a proper means to make money. Either of these solutions would make Engineering profession bonuses worthwhile instead of a bit meh. If not that, then give us comparable stat bonuses to the forgone enchant but make the tinker more expensive in terms of materials - one thing I will allow at the moment is that tinkers are cheap but I only apply them as a temporary measure if I can't immediately get the enchant I want. Maybe Blizz should allow tinkers (without the stat bonuses) in addition to normal enchants. Comment by arcterasNot specifically about Nitro Boosts so I apologise, but this talk of nerfing NBs has inspired me to moan.Īlthough some tinkers now have a stat bonus, the fact remains that they still aren't really worth the loss of the enchant you have had to forgo - particularly in the case of Nitro Boost since it is now not allowed in Arena - I make a reluctant exception for the Flexweave Underlay day to day the parachute is worth the loss of 7 agility because I have an annoying habit of dismounting in flight (long story) but that's just me.
